My salad days in Washington, D.C.

Checkmate? Not quite.

AGAIN, my La Vie PC got virus-infected in the library because I was on wireless network... easily targetted, despite the Symantec Anti-virus software installed. What the heck! I have three papers due this week, and the devil did his business on my computer. Well, I will survive! 2 of the 3 are submitted just on time, and for the one remaining, I will, and I must, manage it. C'est la vie, c'est la vie...

So anyone who want to e-mail me, write in any language I can understand, but I will reply you in English. Sorry about that. I may stay off AIM and Messenger for a while as well.

Perhaps I should go shopping on M street... I want to buy a jacket for the spring, face toner from Body Shop or Sephora, and boots on discount before they disappear from the shops.

One thing. I got my first briefing memo back from the Somalia class. B+. Prof's comments: "Very good first paper. Your advice to Lake is clearly presented and proposals concrete. But 4-5 major reccomendations in a short, final paragraph [would be better]. The use of words like "reminders" or "keep in mind" do not sound like crisp, concise recommendations. Keep up the good work. Your English is very good!"

Very good is kind of okeyish. Crisp, concise English, be part of my tongue!
